Should Beckham still be in the team ?

OK, so we have all got used to the fact that Beckham was no longer going to captain England since his resignation back on July 2nd. However, I have to say that I am slightly surprised to see him being dropped from the team completely.
I can see that it could be difficult for him to play in a side where he doesn’t wear the captains armband, but in my opinion he still has a great deal to offer and English side.
We have all come to admire his skills particularly from those deal ball situations, remember that 25 metre free kick against Greece which put England into the 2002 World Cup, but how often have we seen him give 100% to the game, although admittedly, not in the last few games.
With the pressure now off him, I hope that he is given another chance to play for England, McLaren suggested the door was always open (‘shut’ must have been a slip of the tongue) so may be when the dust has settled, we will see Beckham play again for England.
Personally, I hope so.
