Remember your key football dates

We've all done it - accepted that invitiation to a friend's wedding, birthday party or child's christening only to realise nearer the time that our team is playing in a major cup final the same day.

I still remember 17th May 2003 when I had to spend the whole afternoon at a wedding in Southampton as Arsenal beat them 1-0 in the FA Cup Final.

So here is the Real Life News guide to key dates to keep free in your footballing diary.

24th Feb Carling Cup Final

14 May UEFA Cup Final, Manchester

17 May FA Cup Final

21 May UEFA Champions League Final

24 May 2nd Division play-off final

25 May 1st Division play-off final

26 May Championship play-off final

29 June Euro 2008 final

So basically keep May free because unless you support Derby you could be busy.

Fortunately England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all failed to qualify for Euro 2008, so suggest to your friends and relatives that June would be a great month for all celebrations.
