"Will Herr Klinsmann please rise"

And you thought Sven had it tough. He might be haranged by The Sun and the rest on an almost daily basis, but at least he hasn't been threatened with having to answer questions about his team selection in front of parliament. Yes, the Germans have been taking the defeat to Italy as a real blow to the National-Elf's chances this summer.
Some so-called "experts" have suggested that Klinsmann be invited to the Bundestag to explain himself. And over the last few days various CDU, SPD and FDP politicians have been happy to criticise Klinsi's decision to continue commuting to Germany from his home in California. At least Interior Minister Wolfgang Schäuble has sensibly backed the manager, saying that replacing him with three months to go till Germany's first match wouldn't be the best of ideas.
Respect to Jürgen is definitely due. If I was in his position, I would've been told these politicians in no uncertain terms that they should concentrate on lowering unemployment (4 million and counting) and leave the football to me. Naturally, Franz Beckenbauer has decided to stick his oar in too (again), but by now that really shouldn't surprise anyone. He's criticised pretty much everything there is bar Klinsmann's choice of haircut.
