The A League’s 2 biggest recruits for the inaugural season will be back for the second term, kicking off in August.

Dwight Yorke broke his silence 2 month to confirm he would be back to honour the second year of his contract with Sydney FC. Speaking from the T and T World Cup training camp in London, Yorke said he was looking forward to returning to Australia after this summer’s tournament. It's another boost for the champions, who this week also confirmed Terry Butcher as manager.

Meanwhile Melbourne Victory has also confirmed that Archie Thompson will return after the World Cup following a 6 month loan spell with Guus Hiddink’s PSV. The striker was expected to come back, and will now play out the last 3 years of his contract, much to the delight of the Melbourne faithful.
