Angola – What a great performance from the “underdogs”

Well having just got over the fact that the Ivory Coast are out, it was great to see the Angolans hold Mexico to a goalless draw.
Whilst it was clearly a hand ball and Andre had to be sent off, up until that point Angola were making Mexico work for the ball and may have had a chance of scoring and what a reward that would have been for the lucky goal scorer. Over £2000 bonus, which apparently equates to 2 years salary for the average Angolan !
For me the man of the match had to be goal keeper Joao Ricardo. Whilst he is undoubtedly not the best goalie in the cup, he kept the Angolans in the competition on numerous occasions, despite a few dodgy moments when wasnt quite sure where he was supposed to be. Joao it seems has not been playing for a regular side for over a year and made a promise to the teams coach to practice every day on this own !
Well I look forward to seeing Angola play Iran in their next game on the 21st. What a result it would be for them to go through and meet the likes of Argentina !
Thanks.
Martin

It may be true that Angola performed at the top of their game against Mexico but I think they played better in their defeat (1-0 Portugal-Angola). for Portugal ,in my opinion, should have at 3-0!
