100 days to the World Cup

One hundred days from today and we'll be watching South Africa play Mexico in the opening game of the World Cup.
I haven't thought much about the summer competition as the season is building to such an exciting climax, not just at the top of the Premiership but across the leagues. We're going to be treated to a firecracker of a league finale then be straight into the biggest football competition on the planet!
FIFA have inspected all ten finished stadiums and an estimated 2.2m out of 2.9m tickets have been sold.
The BBC have had their World Cup website in place for some time, and there is a growing number of blogs and websites for any fan wanting the latest news and views.
Being World Cup year the usual questions will no doubt be raised:
- will this be the World Cup where an African team wins?
- which low-ranking team will France lose to in their group?
- what will be the controversial reason England fans feel aggrieved about when we are disappointingly eliminated?
The one thing I haven't found yet is an online tool so you can work out who you think will win each game and be the ultimate winner. I'm sure it'll do the rounds soon. In the meantime I've worked mine out on a paper z-card of the fixtures and my current prediction is for Germany to beat Ivory Coast in the final.
