Wigan's Taylor in comeback Tragedy

News broke earlier this week that our England Under 21 international Ryan Taylor broke his leg whislt playing for the reserves against Newcastle on Wednesday night.
Taylor, only 21 years old, had only recently recovered from a broken metatarsel that he picked up whilst playing Leeds in an FA Cup third round replay. He stepped up his push for a first team spot with two run outs with the reserves and a place as an unused sub against Aston Villa, before the tragedy struck 68 minutes into the reserves game, in which he scored a stunning 25 yard volley.
Many would agree that Taylor impressed at both right back and right midfield, showing off his great passing ability, and to lsoe him for what could be as much as six months is a massive blow.
Wigan's head Physiotherapist Alan Tomlinson shed some light on the severity of the break: "It's broken just above the ankle but i am confident Ryan can make a full recovery."
I'm sure all Latics fans will join me in wishing him a very speedy recovery, and hope to see him back in a Latics shirt as soon as possible
