Wigan's season starts next week

Amongst Wigan fans, we all see next weeks home game against Everton as a must win game. It is also the re-start to our season. We have a fight on our hands to stay up, and it is a fight no-one wants to lose.

And with two new signings expected before the next game (cannot divulge my sources) and Henri Camara soon to be fit again, things on the playing front will improve sooner rather than later.

Todays defeat to Chelsea, although a heavy one, was inevitable considering the state of our team. Fitz Hall and David Unsworth as the centre-backs jsut won't cut it. It is fair to say we are missing the whole back bone of our team, with Arjan DeZeeuw, Paul Scharner and Henri Camara still out.

And with West Ham coming close to narrowing the defecit between 17h and 18th place to just one point, today was deffinately a wake up call.

From the players, the staff, the manager and the fans, this is the time for us to stand up and be counted!
