Wigan's luck Runs Dry

Simply put, after a great start to the Sunday derby against Blackburn, our luck simply ran out.
After David Bentley equalied with a goal that would make Henry proud, it was all downhill for the Latics in the second half. Todorov came off the bench and failed to make an immediate impact on his debut, with Rovers keeper Brown being the hero on his debut, saving the Bulgarians poor penalty.
In fairness to Blackburn, the penalty was against the run of play, with the excellent Heskey breaking away from the defence before being tumbled to the floor. Yet if the ball had hit the back of the net instead of Browns body, not many could have argued that Wigan very well could have rode the storm and won.
Instead, it was ex-Wigan forward Jason Roberts who had the last laugh, albeit he didn't score the winner, but it was his touch that took the ball around Chris Kirkland, allowing Benni McCarthy to score his second goal in four days.
And to condemn our luck, the goal should have been uled offside. Typical Wigan and a typical second half performance from the majority of the Wigan players. Heres hoping our luck changes soon.
Next up, Manchester United at home. Oh Joy!
