Wigan making Emile out of Transfers

There isn't much happening around Wigan Athletic at the moment. Away from the usual transfer struggle that we suffer from, it was recently announced by the club that we have smashed throguh the 10,000 barrier in terms of season ticket sales after just three weeks on sale. Pretty good, even though the usual pessimists are saying that is a disgrace. Best to ignore them though.

Transfer wise, not much movement is expected to be made until next week due to Paul Jewell being an analyst for Five lives world Cup coverage, but rest assured that Jewell is using this as an advantage to unearth some possible 'jewells.'

One transfer that has been a hot topic has been around former England International Emile Heskey. Reports suggested that Wigan had offered £500k plus Jason Roberts for his services, much to the bewilderment of the fans. And in many eyes, hearing it was rejected was a god send.

However, our assistant manager Chris Hutchings has confirmed that we are pusruing Heskey as a posible signing. Make of that as you will.

And there you are, i told you not much had happened. Hopefully more news will come out from the club, and as soon as i find out i will let you know.
