Latics to take Cottage 'Pie' Storm?

In an interview, Latics manager Paul Jewell stated that "We're not geared up to go into Europe, and financially-wise we don't have to." And in a way Jewell is right, if Wigan didn't make Europe this season, it wouldn't be a poor season, as finishing 17th this year would have been success. What Jewell can't deny though is that to get into Europe would be massive for himself, the club, the fans and to the town of Wigan, and that dream on monday could either become more reality than dream, or it can be ended.
An away fixture at Fulham towards the end of the season, at the beginning of the season would have seemed easier than it does now. Fulham have won 11 games at home, including the conquering of Chelsea, whilst only losing four. Fulham also play great attacking football, especially at home, whilst Wigan do the same away from home. the mixture of both hints at a goal-fest at the Cottage, especially as both sets of attacks will be coming up against two shaky defences.
Fulhams defence have shifted 63 goals this term, compared to Wigan's mroe respectable 45. Wigans defence of late however has been leaking goals, due greatly to the loss of Skipper Arjan De Zeeuw, and the general inexperience Scharner and Henchoz have playing together.
One thing is for sure, Fulham have lost just once in 12 home games, so Roberts and Camara have to be firing on all cylinders for us to win!
My head says this game will be an entertaining 2-2 draw
But my heart hopes that Wigan can shade the game (goals galore remember!) 3-2
