Give the Swede a Chance!

The feeling around Wigan now is that it's time to give the midfield area abit of a shake-up.

Wingers at the moment are doing fine, Gary Teale on the whole has been good and Lee Mchulloch has been probably our best player in the last two games.

No, most feel it's time to break up the Jimmy Bullar Gramham Kavanagh partnership as neither have performed great over the past few games.

I might sound like im going over top here, yes we won two away games on the bounce and then lost to West Ham, but the fact is we were poor in all tree games. Especially the two players mentioned.

Ans so, its time for change. If Alan Mahon was still at Wigan (what a rubbish idea to sell him forso little!) i would have given him a run out instead of Jimmy BUllard as they are both very similar in playing styles. But seeing as that is not possible now, i would give Andreas Johansson a deserved run as an attacking midfielder, most probably meaning Bullard being dropped.

Johansson scored three goals in three games, only to find himself droppped in favour of Jason Roberts, who in turn thanked his manager for such a decision by doing nothing since then. Johansson however, has been consistently our best player in the reserves and its about time he was given his chance.

Oh, and another thing. Take the set pieces off Jimmy Bullard please!!!

Johansson is good in the reserves but that's where he should stay.

Roberts causes far more problems for defenders and Bullard may not be world class at set pieces, but who else is there?
