£10million not enough for Baggies Trio

News broke today of a triple bid made by ourselves for Baggies trio Zoltan Gera, Curtis Davies and ex-Latics palyer Nathan Ellington. The bid was £10million. Even i could see that wasn't going to get accepted.

For one thing, Tottenham have already seen a £4.5million bid for Davies rebuffed, whilst they are also quoting over £4million for Nathan 'the Duke' Ellington. Ourselves have already seen a £1.75million bid rejectedfor Gera so why did Wigan think a combined £10million bid would be accepted?

In fairness, The Duke is now only worth £2million at best, but the Baggies can demand more due to his lenghty contract. and personally i only see Gera worth £4million at best (despite some Baggies fans claiming hes worth £6million). And i think it would take up to £8million to get the services of Davies.

All might change soon, with strong rumours circulating of an impending transfer request from Ellington who is now desperate to return to Wigan, although a swap deal involving Roberts for Ellington is a possibility.

Gera is also making signals that he wants to leave the relegated club from the Black Country.

Either way, one transfer that looks likely to go through is the £3million move for 'One size' Fitz Hall, after we had a bid accepted for him. He will discuss personal terms when he returns from holiday.

Keep checking back for further transfer activity coming out from the JJB Stadium
