Lennon a big loss for Spurs

Aaron Lennon`s injury is a massive blow for Spurs. Without him they do not have the pace, creativity or imagination to unlock defences. Even in his first year at the club he was vital to Spurs attacking options creating panic in opposing defences and opportunities for his strikers. He has the ability to explode into space with the ball, change direction quickly and deliver dangerous crosses. Yet to become a really top class player he needs to score more goals and be more clinical with his crosses.
Robbie Keane should be able to provide those missing ingredients but often he plays too deep and leaves Mido isolated. Mido is too inconsistent, one minute looking unstoppable the next hopeless. Martin Jol must get the best out of Jermaine Defoe because he has failed to deliver for almost a season now. Give him an extended run in the side and then decide what to do with him after that, sell him or use him.
If Jol does not find a way of replacing Lennon`s attacking flair and Michael Carrick`s passing range through innovative tactics or personel changes Spurs could face another season of under acheivement.
