Fantastic week for Chelsea, Man United & Liverpool, shame about Spurs!

I was hoping Spurs would end what has been a great week for English football. Obviously not to be!
At the beginning of the week United gave an outstanding performance against Roma, and played the type of football that's a joy to watch. They had control, speed and the finishing, the latter being Arsenal's main stumbling block of late.
Chelsea, whilst they deserved to win against Valencia where yet again fortunate, scoring in the 90th minute. Some would argue that it's their determination that sees them through. However, I'd have to say that they do seem to have the run of the ball this season. I'm half expecting them to take the title away from Man United in the last few games of the season!
Mourinho's convinced that his team have been unlucky this season, particularly with their injury problems. But I can't see how they are any worse off than most.
As for Liverpool, well the result was never really in doubt. Having gone 3 nil up from the first leg, I couldnt see how they could lose that kind of advantage. It would have taken a miracle for PSV to go to Anfield and win.
And to Spurs. I did have some sympathy with Jol after watching their last outing to Seville. They deserved to come away at the very least a draw. As for the home leg, yes a few decisions didn't go their way, but they really gave the game away in the first 10 minutes.
Second half Tottenham fought back, but it was too little too late. Not easy to take 4 goals from a team like Sevilla.
So no English clubs in the UEFA cup, but there's still the champions league to look forward to and an interesting battle ahead!
