Time for Newcastle's Luque to get a run in the first team

Anyone who either knows me or remembers some of my previous articles will know I have more often than not slated Luque; in my opinion usually justified. Things have changed now though. He's pulling his weight on the pitch, he's not giving it all the talk in the media, and most importantly when he started, he has returned a goal.
I'm disappointed Roeder seems to hold a personal grudge against him. He has done pretty much everything he can to avoid starting Luque in recent times, including moving a winger up front, playing one up front, and calling on a 19 year old loanee. I'd hate to see us make a huge loss on Luque in January, and with the current predicament we find ourselves in I can't understand why you wouldn't start a striker who has scored in his last three starts.
Even yesterday when he came on he at least made a couple of things happen, one crossfield pass to Duff springs to mind coupled with a couple of neat touches.
It's been said before but the man has class - we all saw it in La Liga and it's time to see it over here. He's fit, settled enough and ready to step up to the plate.
We are in the relegation zone, without a league win in something like six games, and offensively we look embaressingly blunt. Injuries on top of that means that Luque just has to have a chance, or fans will begin to wonder if our manager is going to let what appears to be a grudge get in the way of the clubs chances.

I totally agree. Even if Luque is more of a winger he still has more experiance and is better equipped to be playing as a forward than Rossi. I would certainly have started with Luque up front with perhaps Sibierski slighty behind and Rossi as a second half sub. Good luck to Luque he has bags of class and deserves more starts in the team.

I want him Luque and Martins in front for Newcastle I think That will mean power for the team.
Quite simply, everything I have been saying for weeks.
totally agree mate
i think luque should start he is a world class striker. he is much better than Ameobi even when he is fully fit. Roader should start him. if he doesn't roader is making a huge mistake
