Derby Victory!!!

What a game! What a result. Its been almost a week since we beat Everton 3-1 and its about time I wrote something about it here.
Just to explain Im not a big fan of writing match reports. After each game a countless amount of these are produced, with a countless amount of angles and opinions of what took place.
Now dont get me wrong, the reason I know there are so many is I spend a good few hours in the days following a match reading / watching as many as I can and I get a great deal of pleasure screaming at the computer screen / newspaper / TV when I disagree with what has been said (I admit I enjoy it when people put my point of view across too, screaming is just more fun!).
When it comes to writing however I prefer to talk about issues that I find interesting, or those that really get me thinking. Take the Derby for example, the points that I most want to talk about are
1: The impressive way Garcia moved to right midfield from his original role as
Support striker when Gerrard was sent off, without any instruction to do so, and
what this means in terms of Rafas idea starting to work within the team
2: The fact that for once we seemed to play with a degree of natural width once we
were down to 10
3: The fact the Referee was incapable of taking control of a Derby match and should
be banned for life from such games.
4: And finally the fact that I saw Roy Evans review the game and how good it felt
when he spoke about Liverpool as though he was still our manager (A major
nostalgia trip- I still have a huge soft-spot for the man!).
Anyway all this aside, after all the pre-match boasts, and after we beat our neighbours so comfortably I felt compelled to write something, so congradulations to all the lads. Yet again the amount we have come on in the last 12 months was there for all to see!
