So there we are, 18th on the European rich list. Part of the G18? Apparently, if we hadn't been so 'risk aware' as to 'outsource' our kits to JJB, we could have been even higher. Admittedly, it is difficult to know how to feel about all this, so let's leave it alone. There are much more qualified, interested, and dare we say obsessed people to worry about the financial side. That said, Jowly Keith Wyness appears to be living up to his reputation and it seems positive.
Next up, it's fascinating to read that the FA want James Beattie to explain his comments after the Blackburn game. Er, what do you think he meant? That t'Rovers genuinely had 4 more players, yeah, that'll be it. On the subject of the suits at the FA, Real Life News has recently conducted an interview with the FA on some of the more irritating things about this great game we don't call soccer. The FA interview is reassuring in the sense that the garbage idea of using video replays seems no nearer, nor sadly does a return to an 'old school' offside law to sort it once and for all.
Turning now to the FA Cup, would you normally be spitting feathers at this stage, boycotting the competition because we're out? No need this year, I think the inevitability of losing out to Chelsea plus the improved league form means it matters less. It's been such a long season, Villarreal at home seems like aeons ago. And, maybe like a big motorway accident, the early kick off on BBC is compelling viewing.
Anyway, enough about them, a big thank you to 'The Cat' for his recent comment on the Florida trip, which got Real Life Blues thinking. What is the score with the Florida karaoke this time? Having endured the Brits, surely the obvious conclusion is;
Tonight Moyesy I'm gonna be Kanye West.
You guessed it, Tony Hibbert
Having shoehorned Villarreal in there, and in the absence of any actual games to talk about, the next entry will look at Everton's Waterloo this season, Dinamo Bucharesti. Just how have they progressed since gubbing the blues, and nearly killing Arteta?
