Chelsea loss leaves Premiership title wide open

The great thing about football is how regularly certain-looking situations change.
It was only a few short weeks ago that Chelsea were clear at the top of the league and playing as if they could never lose.
Yet now they are a mere point ahead of Manchester United, three above Arsenal, have lost two games in a row and have been rocked by personal scandals affecting two of their key defensive players.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have Rooney in a rich vein of form and have a history of strong run-ins to the end of the season. Arsenal don't look so strong but are racking up the points and have closed the gap above them.
So who will lift the trophy?
They have all played the same number of games so it comes down to respective performances in the remaining 10 games. Manchester United have the best goal difference and only need to gain one more point than Chelsea to lead the table. Arsenal need at least 3 points more than Chelsea, 2 more than Man U, and have the worst goal difference.
While any team can cause an upset the remaining fixtures favour Arsenal.
Chelsea have four big games remaining: Aston Villa at Home, Manchester United away, Tottenham away and Liverpool away.
Manchester United also have four: Liverpool at home, Chelsea at home, Manchester City away and Tottenham at home.
Arsenal, however only have two: Tottenham away and Manchester City at home. Plus of course the Man United-Chelsea game will benefit Arsenal whatever the result.
So logically (and passionately as a supporter) I should predict an Arsenal premiership title. But I learned long ago not to bet against Manchester United in the tail end of the season.
