Arsenal: The pressure's on Liverpool
Posted by Martin in Arsenal, Liverpool | 20 December 2006
O.k so the match against Liverpool didn't go ahead and I'm sure both teams would have wanted to get the game out of the way.
Liked the comment on East Lower where it said ".. the referee apparently decided the linesmen would be near-blind if the game went ahead."
However whether you think it was the right decision to postpone the match or not, having the the FA and Carling games only 3 days apart will certainly make for an interesting week.
Liverpool already want to make amends for the 3 nil defeat back in November and if (when) we beat them in the FA meet, what frame of mind will they be in for the Carling match?
And actually will we be too worried about the outcome anyway?

As a Liverpool supporter I'd have to question what frame of mind the Arsenal players will be in come the League Cup quarter final if (when) we beat you in the F.A. cup. And will Liverpool even care?
Lets face it bar a few decent performances Arsenal haven't set the world alight this season have they?
Theres no pressure on Liverpool at all. We will be playing at home, with a packed Anfield stadium. Arsenal will be knocked out of both the Carling cup and FA cup in the same week, sweet revenge.
Can I just ask the Liverpool supporters above what drugs they have been taking?
I watched the game with pleasure last night and had to giggle a little after reading the following quote from a sports column this morning: "perhaps next time Mr Wenger will send up his lady's team to try and make a bit of a game of it".
Brilliant!
Wayne
PS - In your face Liverpool!
