Arsenal 1 Everton 1 - What did the EvertonBlog predict?

Posted by Martin in Arsenal, Everton | 30 October 2006

According to EvertonBlog the match against the gunners was going to be high scoring, given both Everton and Arsenal's current scoring record.

Well it could have been high scoring, but only in the gunners favour.

Yet it wasn't to be. Another game of missed opportunities, possession was all Arsenal's, with Rosicky & Henry creating some real chances. I have to say Rosicky is growing on me. What a goal from the Van Persie free kick, he's doing some great stuff this season. But it seemed to be the weekend where the keepers shone!

EvertonBlog's predicition "In conclusion, we will play very well and deserve a draw, but will succumb to a defeat by a late, winning goal."

Well, they managed to close the gunners down, so from that point of view, yes they did well, but after their first goal, they never really looked like scoring again and the game appeared to be one sided, with Everton doing enough to keep the gunners at bay.

So now we look forward to the match against CSKA Moscow. Dare I give my prediction. Well I'm going to anyway. Of course the gunners will win, but I'm going for a 2 - 1 win, close fought contest!
