I’m a co-founder of Real Life News and have been interested in, but not very good at, being environmentally friendly for some time.

With a wife, 2 small children and 2 cars our lifestyle is probably slightly worse than average in terms of our impact on the environment. Over the last three months I have started changing this.

I’ll write about my attempts to move my un-green, reluctant family towards a more sustainable lifestyle, passing along what works for us and what doesn’t, highlighting environmentally friendly options and commenting on broader green issues.

I’m definitely at the ‘light green’ end of the scale but I hope to show others in a similar situation how they can lower their impact without drastically affecting their lifestyle.

I'm a guy who has been in IT for over a decade. Recently, it occured to me that providing computing services seemed really wasteful, not just efficiency wise but also environmentally as well.

I did some digging into this and it turned me into an advocate; I'm now convinced that the only viable computing future is one that is bright green. The great thing is there are tremendous opportunities here for companies will are willing to lead the way. Clean Computing, that's my bag.
