e2 Design - series three due on PBS this fall
Posted by DavidM in Events | 12 September 2008
I had an email this week from Katie who'se doing the PR for the new series of e2 Design (should be e-squared but I can't get the symbol right). I had a look at the previews of the new series and my only question is - why don't we get PBS in the UK?
The series looks at sustainable architecture and design around the world. From the creation of a new park in Cairo - involving the local community so they feel a connection with the amenities, to 'the world's first green museum' by Renzo Piano and Dutch designers who find new uses for recycled rubbish.
It also includes how the local community rebuilt New Orleans Lower 9th Ward after feeling let down by local and national government.
Each episode is narrated by Brad Pitt and they are previewed for a week on the e2-series website. The first two have passed already but you can still catch:
September 12, 2008 - Amsterdam Super Use
September 19, 2008 - A Garden in Cairo
September 26, 2008 - Nova Scotia The Village Architect
Or if you have access to the station, watch the full series on PBS this fall.
It would be good to know if the series has been picked up by any channels in the UK. Katie?
