Would you like to collect sunshine?

I for one would love to be able to brighten up those dark winter days, so this sounds like a great idea. But alas, the problem hasn't really been solved.
However, I love Stefano Merlo's solar-powered energy bucket, featured on Inhabitat. Whilst it doesn't collect sunshine, it uses solar energy panels to power LED lights to give the effect shown. Though as the picture shows, it looks slightly un-real.
So, if nothing else, it demonstrates what can be down with a bit of creative thinking!
