In case you hadn't appreciated it, it's leap year time! The National Trust have decided to give every one of their employees the opportunity to stay at home and use the day to make an impact on their local environment.
They are also trying to encourage other businesses to adopt the same approach - given that they are effectively getting an additional days work from us all, for free! Never quite thought of it that way!
The National Trust have made some suggestions on what could be done on day 29, including :
Draught proofing houses
Insulating the loft
Spending time in the garden, planting veggies
They've also suggested going into schools and other groups to talk through green ideas.
Anyway, let's see how many businesses get involved in this, I doubt mine will :(
