Top 15 green things according to Grist

toyota prius, honda civic hybridGrist has compiled lists of the 15 greenest people or things in a variety of categories - from actors to religious leaders, fashion items to cars.
For example, the greenest city is Reykjavik in Iceland, followed by Portland, Oregon and Curitiba, Brazil. Reykjavik comes out top due to hydrogen powered buses and a total reliance on renewable energy for heat and electricity.
Grist rates Leonardo di Caprio as the greenest actor, with Cameron Diaz and Robert Redford as runners up. Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan comes in at 9th.
One of my favourite TV chefs, Jamie Oliver, is listed as the 6th greenest chef and unsurprisingly Gordon effing Ramsay doesn't make the top 15.
And finally, the greenest car according to Grist is the Toyota Prius, with it's main competitor the Honda Civic Hybrid second.
Like me you may not entirely agree with the order in these lists but I think they give useful information about a range of people and places that are doing their bit.
