Local Food Shops

I get regular emails from Big Barn and one of the websites it supports is Local Food Shop.

Essentially the name describes it well - it's an "online farmers market" providing local producers and shops with an ecommerce platform so you can buy local food over the internet.

You can browse through the categories of food and non-food producers (though the latter is a little thin) or enter your postcode and find your nearest producers.

It has around 200 entries at the moment which isn't really a lot for the whole of the UK but it's a useful starting point.

Big Barn itself lists around 7,500 local producers so if you want more choice it's a good resource, but many don't have online shopping capabilities.
