Climate film - A convenient truth

I've had an email from Jack Guest asking if I can mention his new movie - A Convenient Truth.

To be honest, I nearly deleted the email straightaway assuming from the title that it was an anti-environment ripost to Al Gore's movie.

I'm glad I didn't as it actually appears Jack's film aims to complement An Inconvenient Truth.

Where Gore's movie conveyed the danger of the situation and built fear to press the need to change, Jack Guest's film shows the positive side - how people are altering their lives to reduce their environmental impact and the benefits they are getting from that.

It's a great idea as we need both sides to drive people towards a more sustainable lifestyle.

I haven't been able to properly watch the previews as my sound isn't working from my PC at the moment, but as well as the usual trailer for the film you can view a preview version of the whole movie and donate to support it.

Jack's hoping for a release in early 2008 and his email to me is no doubt part of a campaign to generate buzz to support the release. Have a look and if you like what you see pass the message on and let's have another environmentally positive movie out in cinema's next year.
