Ecofriendly kids activities for summer

I came across this article on kids activities from Gaiam Community with 5 ideas for entertatining your children that are eco-friendly.
I've found it hard to drag my children away from the TV, Gameboy, Ninteno DS, Wii, Playstation or whatever is the fad of the moment. However, if you persevere they love being outside when they get there.
We're lucky where we llive to have a country river walk nearby and the New Forest only a short drive away where we can take them walking or cycling safely.
