Green tip #15: Turn your water temperature down for summer

As we approach another summer season now is the time to check those thermostats and save some energy.
It's obvious to lower your heating levels during summer - you don't need the radiators pumping out heat when it's gorgeous outside. But do you reduce the temperature on your water storage? Many, such as mine, have a winter/summer setting. By changing the setting as the weather warms up you can reduce your energy usage while not affecting available hot water.
In fact, after last summer we didn't bother moving the control back to it's winter setting and haven't noticed any difference.
