Cheaper supplier of biodiesel in Hampshire

I've been running the car on biodiesel from Enfuels whenever I can get to them from work, but it does mean some weeks I have to revert to the dirty diesel. I reckon in the last 2 months I've been running on about 50:50.

Then my wife mentioned it to her hairdresser only to find out her farmer husband has been using a local supplier - Beautifuel - for years. I found their number (they don't have a website hence no link but if you're interested the number is 07863 351206) and gave thm a call.

They have an interesting business model. They supply cooking oil to local pubs and restaurants, collecting the waste oil when they make their delivery. This waste is then converted to biodiesel and sold on.

They deliver to my local pub so would detour via my house for no extra charge. They deliver a minimum of 100 litres at a time in 20 litre containers. This makes it much more convenient.

And the best bit? Their biodiesel only costs 65p a litre. That's cheaper than I was paying and a major saving on the diesel price of around 96p a litre.

So, it's cheaper, more convenient, saves oil going into landfills and massively reduces my carbon footprint.

I still have lots of people ask why I run my car on biodiesel. My answer is simple - why would I run it on anything else?

I get my first delivery next Tuesday so I'll let you know how it goes.
