Honda's green drive

Following my earlier article about the Honda Formula 1 team trying to go greener, David Hughes forwarded an article about the new Honda Formula 1 car.
Instead of the normal swathe of advertising the car is covered with a picture of the earth. And if you go to myearthdream.com and make a donation to environmental charity or pledge to make a lifestyle change, Honda will add your name to the car. Unfortunately when I looked today, the site still wasn't available.
Several companies have already signed up, including Universal Music, Fila, IBM and Gatorade.
I think this is a smart idea from Honda. It fits with the public perception of them (along with Toyota) as one of the more forward thinking motor manufacturers when it comes to the environment. It also encourages possibly the least-green section of the community - hardcore petrol heads - to make a change and gives them an incentive that really appeals to them.
The only thing that seems a shame is that they haven't joined the myearthdream site up with their other green web presence - Environmentology - about which I'll write more later.
