Even The Archers get climate change

As I've mentioned before, there is a growing amount of coverage of climate change, global warming, etc. in the British media. Now it's even featured in the bastion of English society - BBC Radio 4's The Archers.

As Transition Culture notes, the character of a wealthy landowner - Nigel - sees the light after a conversation with his forester about planting trees suited to a warmer climate.

You can listen to the episode at The Archers' website, until next Tuesday. From Transition Culture's post it sounds like it was done pretty well.

Another small success in encouraging middle England that something needs to be done.
