What's your favourite environment joke?

laugh_566724.jpgThe damage we are doing to the environment is an incredibly serious issue and needs to be addressed urgently.

But hey, you can't be serious all the time so as it's nearly christmas here's something light-hearted.

It's good to be able to poke fun at yourself and a cracking joke can get a serious message across better than a hundred blog posts.

So I'm looking for the best jokes about global warming, pollution, energy, animals, high-profile individuals or any other green stuff. Whether it's a side-splitter, a groaner or a barbed comment, please post it as a comment and give us all a chuckle.

However, to avoid an swarm of similar comments, please assume "George W. Bush" has already been posted!

A quick search on Google shows that there's a distinct lack of jokes about the environment - but here's a couple of humurous items I've found.

A combined maths and environment joke about logging which made me smile.

Bore Me has a list of the 25 benefits of global warming.

There's the video of The Blue Man Group's message from Earth to America.

Also on Bore Me is a cartoon depicting the most compelling evidence of global warming yet.

Finally, a question to test your moral fibre at Joke Mail.

Here are a couple of other vaguely environment-related gems from Joke Mail:

- In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

- How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a barbecue?

So add a joke and let's have some laughs this Christmas.
