Green Tips #2: Grow your own tomatoes

green_tips.jpgYou don’t need a large garden or to be an expert to grow your own vegetables. I’ve been amazed at how easy it has been to grow tomatoes and how big a crop I’ve had from a few plants.

All you need is a small patch of soil (or a growbag), 2 plants and somewhere that gets some sun.

They take little time to look after and there is plenty of online advice, such as BBC Gardening and Organic Down Under.

And once you’ve got the hang of tomatoes, you may be tempted to try other vegetables.
