Composter's in

Having finally got my hands on the compost bin it took me 15 minutes yesterday to dig up a small patch of turf and install the composter in the garden.
Having turned over the earth and spread our collection of egg shells and vegetable peelings, it's now ready for the small creatures of the earth to do their work.
I was talking to a friend about it over the weekend and they asked if it was one of the special offers from the council. It was a special offer, says I, but not from the council. Oh, but it was still £5 though was it? They ask.
No it bloody wasn't. So not only did it talk 4 months to turn up it was about 4 times over-priced.
Bugger.
Oh well, at least it's in now. I'm looking forward to being able to use my own compost in my extended vegetable patch next year.
