Why should I write for Real Life News?
Posted by DavidM in Recruitment | 9 December 2005
Were setting up a blog network and are looking for football fans like you to write about the club you support, being a fan and your thoughts on all the football news. But whats in it for you?
Its free. Like most blog networks, well set up and maintain your blog pages, look after all the technical details, work with advertisers and so on. And it doesnt cost you a penny you just have to write.
Its your chance to represent the fans. Were looking for one writer for each club and other key football topics. This is your chance to be the mouthpiece for other fans.
Youll be among friends. You'll be part of the Real Life News blogging community. Well help you get started, share advice on what to write and how to make your pages grab readers.
Well drive traffic to your blog. Were not just hosting a list of blogs, were creating a community of football blogs where readers are encouraged to move between the blogs to get different perspectives. Through this, links to blogs outside Real Life News and our promotion activity, youll get more people visiting your blog.
Youll share in our success. In total, we will pay out 25% of our net income to our bloggers. The more popular your blog, the bigger your share will be. This will be small to start with as we build readership, but the potential is unlimited.
So could you be part of Real Life News?
Were looking for people who are passionate about football, who go to matches, play regularly or are involved at any level. As long as you love football, have opinions on whats happening in the game and want to share them, were interested.
Youve got to be prepared to put some time in. You should add something to your blog at least 3 times a week, reply to emails from readers, review comments left on your blog and respond where appropriate, and keep up to date on football news, other Real Life News football blogs and blogs outside the site.
You dont have to be a professional writer, you just have to be able to write clearly and engage readers.
Unfortunately you do have to be 16 years or over and have a bank account (so we can pay you).
Join up
If you could write about the team you support, refereeing, womens football, footy stats, life as a disabled supporter or any aspect of the game, wed love to hear from you, so please contact us.
Cheers
David

Nice one. There are quite a few footy blogs around but it's a pain finding the good ones.
Looking forward to it going live.
