Contributors wanted - Football

Posted by DavidM in Recruitment | 21 November 2005

I'm starting RLN with a section on Football (or soccer if you're a US reader) - focused on the UK to start with.

The idea is to run a separate blog on each team and I'm are looking for contributors who are fanatical about any football team in the Premiership, Championship, English or Scottish leagues.

I'd also be interested to hear from anyone who can offer a different perspective on the game - a referee's view for example.

You don't have to be a professional writer, you just have to be passionate about football and be able to write regularly. It won't cost you anything and you'll get the kudos of being the RLN contributor for your team. You might even make a bit of money as all contributors get a share of the income from the site.

If you are interested, please visit our Contact Us page.

Cheers

David

What do you think about not limiting it to one blogger per team? You could have a group of writers for each blog. I think discussions would be improved and each blog would be more representative of each team and thus more respected.
I write for Metroblogging, which has one blog per city (a similar idea to Real Life News), but several writers per blog.

PS. I arrived here via the Charlton Athletic email bulletin, which had details of your idea.
Yes, I'm a Charlton fan....exiled in Tokyo.

We have considered having more than one writer per blog, and are not against the idea. It not only gives the blog a wider perspective, but also improves the quality, as the blogger does not have to feel they have to write something, just for the sake of it.

Pleased to hear that we have been mentioned in the Charlton email bulletin.

Thanks.

Martin
