We want free wi-fi, everywhere

wireless_437031.jpgAs a blogger and heavy user of the internet at work, I'd like to have as much mobility with the internet as possible.

Unfortunately, although there are many wi-fi spots around the UK they almost all charge and are owned by various companies. As they often have a minimum fee, moving between them can become expensive.

Channel 5's The Gadget Show has launched campaign for free wi-fi across the nation. They visited Norwich where the council has installed free, limited capacity wi-fi across the city centre.

If you think ubiquitous, free wi-fi would help you, your business or the internet revolution in general, go to The Gadget Show's campaign page and sign up now.

Hi
My name is Amanda Shaw and my company is called WiFi Solutions UK Ltd and I have had some success in getting organisations to offer wifi as a value-added service, rather than levying charges. I always try to promote the use of FREE WiFi and have managed to secure contracts with National Museums Liverpool, The Everyman Bistro, Liverpool & Merseyside's largest conference venue, The Southport Theatre & Floral Hall Complex, The Casa Italia Ristorante Southport, The Sir Thomas Hotel, Liverpool, Sefton Chamber of Commerce, the first ever Lancashire Business Fair and Knowsley Chamber of Commerce for Knowsley Business Week at Knowsley Hall to offer FREE WiFi which I think is highly innovative and forward thinking of all of them. I have managed to achieve this by offering professional and technically supported installations at extremely competitive prices! I have also signed up to The Gadgets Show's campaign for FREE WiFi and would urge everyone else to do the same for social inclusion reasons.
