Vintage TV Ads

Posted by Martin in Interesting stuff | 17 August 2008

My other half came across this site, which features thousands of TV ads. It has a section for vintage ads with some of the greats and the owners are adding to it all the time.

My other half reminded me of a quiz that we both attended, where the only contribution I made, was when it came to reciting snippets of as many TV ads in 2 minutes.

I always felt that more time and money had been spent on the 30 second ads that appeared between programmes, than the programmes themselves.

Anyway, if you want to have a look at some of your old favourites, visit the tellyAds.

Here are a links to a few of my favourites:

Cadbury's flake - You'll know the one!

Corona - Every bubble's past it's fizzical

Hamlet - The Mild Cigar

Hovis - Taking bread to the top of the world!

PG Tips - A Fair Cup
