Blogging for women

Posted by DavidM in Interesting stuff | 6 March 2007

As most of our blogging is about football, all RLN's writers are currently male.

But there are a growing number of female bloggers on the internet writing about a wide variety of subjects (though interestingly the first two that came up on a quick Google search were about relationships and sex. Talk about reinforcing a stereotype!).

And now the first European conference specifically about blogging for Women is to be held at the de Montfort University in Leicester. NLab, run by the Faculty of Humanities at the University, holds regular conferences and seminars around social media (blogs, wikis, etc.).

The conference is arranged for Friday 8th June. It costs only £60 which is good value for a full day event. It could be useful for any women interested in blogging or anyone wanting to work with female bloggers.
