Football blog rankings
Posted by DavidM in Football blogs | 10 March 2006
Ive been looking at my football blogroll and wondered which where the biggest football blogs. Below is my ranking of active football blogs those with at least one entry since 1 Feb 2006 - based on the total number of comments posted against the latest 3 articles.
Its not perfect Im sure Im missing some blogs, the last 3 articles may be better/worse than normal for some of the sites and I havent taken into account the quality of the comments (spam, etc) but its a start.

So Arsenal are top of the table by quite a margin followed by Spurs (The Shelf). Arsenal blogs make up 3 of the top 5.
Interestingly, there was another Spurs blog Tottenham Hotspur Blog News that was getting up to 1200 comments per article until it stopped posting in August last year!
The numbers follow the standard blog curve with a small number of blogs with lots of activity, and a large number of blogs with low levels of activity (the long tail).
If Ive missed off a football blog you run or use, let me know and Ill add it on when I update.
Cheers
David

Glad to see I am in the top 1000!!! Although alphabetically 34th I do receive a lot of unrealated coments to the blog which takes me quite a while to rifle through and the majority of others want me to contribute to their offerings on the net!!
7th in an EPL dominated league.
just about where Celtic would finish if it was real life.
proud of my Bhoys
And where are Rangers?
Oh, nowhere to be seen. No surprise there then.
