Sven departing

Sven and the FA have now agreed that he will step down after the World Cup. But Sven claims they had a gentleman's agreement to that effect anyway so did he actually do anything wrong by talking to a prospective employer about his next job?

Sven can now openly court other offers and England have to find a replacement - leaving uncertainty for the squad during the World's most important competition.

Interestingly, it may also have done Sven a favour. I think he wanted to leave after the World Cup and this has helped him along.

England's search for a new manager should be interesting. There are a lot of calls for his replacement to be English, which I think will happen. So the contenders?

Allardyce, McClaren and Curbishley are the more obvious candidates, but Graham Taylor might be up for it?

Cheers
