I've just discovered Google alerts!

O.k, so this is probably not new to most of you (launched over a year ago!), but I recently came across Google Alerts, still in BETA (aren't they all!) which provides a comprehensive email with links to the latest news items, around user defined keywords.

I've now got a few alerts set-up, for different topics arriving at different frequencies. So far I'm happy with the quantity that arrive. I don't feel spammed!

I've created one to pick up the latest news on Arsenal, which gets delivered as and when news and blog posts appear. I've also created one around the theme of the environment, which I've opted to receive once a day.

What I particularly like, is the discovery of new blogs, which I'd have never picked up with my regular news feeds.
