As you've no doubt seen I've been looking to recruit writers for our environment blog, to broaden the content coverage and build more of a community of writers as we've achieved with football.
Dan Fink of Other Power is our first guest blogger. Dan lives in Colorado and is off-grid, being self-sufficient in energy generation.
An important part of this is minimising his energy consumption and Dan has used his experiences to highlight the 'phantoms' and 'vampires' in your home that are sucking out energy without any benefit to you.
As someone newly started on the road to improving my energy consumption I found his tips useful, and hope you do too.
